DECA Week came and went as fast as ever this year which occurred from Monday, November 7th to the 11th. DECA Week is a week of awareness for DECA, which is an organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. Each day during the week had a new activity including finding hidden DECA Diamonds around the school for candy, DECA members bringing snacks for the staff, promoting the DECA pride by showing off the merch, handing out smarties to invite individuals to join DECA, and finishing the week strong by dressing sharp! The DECA team came prepared! They celebrated the next week by holding a BINGO night to remember, providing multiple prizes ranging from more candy to homemade cookies. What a time to be a DECA member! We can only imagine what the rest of the year holds for them.

All around the country this past week people paused from their busy lives to stop and thank those who have altered the course of their lives to defend our freedoms. The same can be said about the Merrick County Historical Museum who on Sunday held a meeting with our local veterans being recognized.
