Despite the setback, the Bison quickly regrouped, demonstrating remarkable resilience and teamwork. Their efforts paid off as they defeated Ord with a score of 41-30 to secure a fifth-place finish in the conference, showcasing their ability to bounce back and compete at a high level.

The annual Crossroads Conference wrestling meet brought with it plenty of excitement as High Plains Community secured a third place team finsih. One of the biggest moments of the day came from Gage Friesen who notched his 100th career victory. Friesen finished runnerup along with Caleb Sharman. Leading the way for the Storm were Hudson Urkoski and Wyatt Urkoski who both earned conference championships. Neddy Lesiak earned a fourth place finish while Aaron Brown earned a fifth place finish. The Storm will hit the mats in Pleasanton this weekend for the D-3 district meet. (Courtesy Photo)
