Corwin “Corky” Alfred Roscoe, 88, of Central City died Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Arbor Care Center in Fullerton. Celebration of Life services will be Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Central City with Pastor Ruth Boettcher officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial of ashes will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association and condolences can be sent to the family at www. soltwagnerfuneral.com.

Corky was born on February 11, 1935 in Central City to Alfed and Clara (Wilson) Roscoe. He grew up in Central City and attended Central City schools. He entered the United States Navy in 1955 where he spent over 20 years serving his country. Corky married Phyllis Ruiz in 1956. He then married Ellen Stine in 1965. Corky and Ellen lived in San Diego until moving to Central City in 1974. They then moved back to San Diego where they resided from 1985 to 1997. They returned to Central City where Corky was a manager at F&W Precasting in Grand Island. He then took on various jobs at Central Scale, Southern Power, City of Central City, and the State of Nebraska. Corky was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, the American Legion, and the Central City Eagle’s Club. Corky was also a great friend of Bill W.

He is survived by his wife- Ellen Roscoe of Central City; sons- Chris Stine of Clarks; Corey Roscoe of Portland, OR; daughter- Kelly Orr of Scotland; brothers- Larry (Imogene) Roscoe of Central City; and Wendell (Judy) Roscoe of Grand Island; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Corky was preceded in death by his parents; son- Roger Roscoe; grandson Roger Roscoe Jr. of Colorado; brother- Roger Roscoe of Grand Island.
