Philip E Foulk, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 5th in Omaha. Celebration of life services were held at Solt-Wagner Funeral home on Saturday March 9 at 2 pm with a reception at the community center to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Central City or Clarks Rescue Squads, or to the family to direct to one of his many volunteer charitable organizations.

He was born May 27, 1929, to Percy and Marjorie (Sinsel) Foulk in Central City. He attended school and graduated from the Archer School district. Phil was stationed in Fairbanks Alaska during the Korean War and upon his return home in the fall of 1953 he married Joan Jefferson. Phil and Joan moved to rural Clarks where they farmed and raised their 4 children. In the mid-eighties they moved back to the Central City community and Phil started his new career at McIlnay hardware store. He retired at the age of 89 and in 2017 they both moved to Omaha to be closer to family.

Phil was a longtime member of Pierce Chapel United Methodist church, he was a 33-degree Master Mason, volunteered his time on numerous local boards and traveled throughout the county with the Lions Club grill flipping pancakes for fundraising events. He was always up for a game of cribbage and was sure to have a pocketful of polaroids of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Phil is survived by his children and their spouses Bob and Jan Foulk (Omaha), Don and Robin Foulk (Chadron), Julie and Jim Wajda (Blair); 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Alice Torpin, brother Burt Foulk; many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Joan, son Tom; 4 brothers and 6 sisters.
