Lawrence Frederick(Pete) Peterson, 92 passed away peacefully October 21, 2023 in Citrus Heights Ca.

Frederick was born on January 24,1931 to Lawrence G/Margaret (Kohl) Peterson in Clarks.

Frederick attended Clarks High School (Class of 1949).

Pete joined the USAF in 1951, spent 20+ years in personel until his retirement at McClellan AFB, Ca. He was stationed in Japan and US during the Korean War and Vietnam Some the bases he was stationed at were Johnson AB/FEAF Command, Edwards AFB, Beale AFB and Travis AFB. During his stay in Japan he led country and western bands as the Tama Valley Boys during his time off. He enjoyed singing and playing bass all through his life.

In September of 1957 he married Shizuko(Susie) Koga. They would live in Japan until they finally moved stateside to Travis AFB in 1967. After USAF retirement in 1972, Pete went to the US Postal Service as alettercarrierfrom1973to1996inCarmichael,Ca. Hekeptplaying and singing country and western songs with various bands until the late 1990s. Frederick enjoyed for many years attending the Clarks High Alumni Banquet to visit family and friends Those remembering Frederick are his two sons(Bill E / Northampton MA and Larry L Carmichael,CA). Grand children: Duncan, Nicholas( Nick), and Michael. Nieces Peggy Church, Jody and Bill Ziemba and Nephew Ty Peterson. And many great (grand) nieces/nephews in Central Nebraska.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Waldo Peterson(Clarks), sister-in-law Anne Peterson, nephew Tony.
