John Raymond Christensen, 72, of Central City died on Monday, January 15, 2024.

Memorial services will be Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City with Pastor Curt Cooper officiating. There will be no visitation and burial of ashes will be at a later date.

John was born on May 1, 1951 in Fullerton to Forrest and Rose (Uzendoski) Christensen. John grew up in Fullerton and graduated there in 1969. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served from July 1969 and was honorably discharged in July 1975. When he returned from the service he went to a trade school for auto body repair.

John settled in Central City and worked for Central Scale and later he went to work for Bob Mustard’s Used cars for over 30 years. He liked to spend all his time in a body shop, even in his sixties you would find him at Bobby Mustard or John Lesiak’s shop. He enjoyed restoring anything that required body work and painting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Rose Christensen and a brother Pete Christensen.
