Jerry Coon 80 of Shelton born in Denman, died suddenly Sunday January 7th 2024 at his home in Wagoner Oklahoma Grave site services will be held at the Clarks Cemetery in Clarks at a later date.

Jerry was born on December 4th 1943 to Stewart and Bernadine (Hetric) Coon. Jerry attended school in Shelton. Jerry enlisted in the Army National Guard discharged in 1968.

Jerry married Marcella Ripp in Clarks in 1978. Marcella brought son Patrick and daughter Lora with her to this union. Jerry worked at Union Pacific Rail Road for 42 years retiring in 2001. The day after Retirement Jerry moved from St. Paul to Wagoner OK to fish and enjoy retirement. Jerry enjoyed his family, retirement, and fishing very much. Often you would find Jerry helping family and friends with construction or other projects. It was seldom you found Jerry without a smile on his face when he was with family and friends.

Jerry will be greatly missed by his survivors, daughter Jillian (James) Byrd of Wagoner Oklahoma; Brother Ron (Theresa) Coon of Monroe; Sister Connie (Marvin) Hablitzle of Osceola; Stepson Patrick (Connie) Powell of Stromsburg; Stepdaughter Lora (Aldolfo De la mora) of Chicago Illinois; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother in law Patricia & Donald Reese; three nephews Trevor Coon, & Richard Reese, Ronnie Dean Reese, and niece Crystal Rupp.
