Jean D. Stromberg Neel January 21, 1945 ~ November 19, 2023

Jean D. Stromberg Neel, 78, of Clarks, died on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Crane Gardens in Grand Island. Visitation was on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City. A private family burial was held at the Bureau Cemetery near Pierce Chapel with Pastor Nancy Spearow officiating.

Jean was born on January 21, 1945 to Hollis and Doris (Lindahl) Stromberg in Clarks. She grew up in Clarks and graduated from Clarks High School in 1963. On September 6, 1964 Jean was united in marriage to Donald D. Neel in Clarks. They made their home in rural Clarks, where Jean helped on the farm and raised their two children, Christine and Todd. She was a 4-H Leader, enjoyed growing a garden and taking care of her flowers, as well as sewing, cross-stitching, and crocheting. Her and Don travelled frequently, and she enjoyed stopping at the casinos and doing a little bit of gambling every once in a while. Her greatest love was getting spend her time with family.

She was a member of Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church in rural Clarks.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Christine (Darren) Shenk of Grand Island and Todd (Sheila) Neel of Clarks, her grandchildren; Megan (Dustin) Ancheta, Riley Shenk, and Josey Neel, her great-granddaughters; Rowan and Harper Ancheta, her sisters; Joan (Bob) Adams of Columbus and LaVonne (Jim) Clarke of Aurora, and her brother; Gary (Dwana) Stromberg of Kearney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Don.
