Also known as Red, HW and Mac, Harvey loved his parents, siblings, wife, daughter, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends. With the passing of his father, Harvey matured at an early age. At 14, Harvey went to work. He held various jobs in and around his hometown of Ullin, Illinois to help support his family. That service continued when Harvey left Illinois in 1940 to work on projects in the Western United States. His job with the Works Progress Administration allowed him to send funds back to his mother in Illinois. The start of World War Two brought more change and opportunities to serve for Harvey. Harvey joined the USArmyAir Corps and met his wife Harriette while stationed in North Texas. Harvey later served in Europe until the end of the war in 1945.

Harvey could not be still and was not easily satisfied. His competitive drive led to success in numerous business endeavors. Harvey’s professional experiences took him to all ends of the United States. His work ethic and commitment to the task at hand were, at least, remarkable.

Harvey loved baseball, football, pool, western movies and had expensive taste. Harvey found great satisfaction in providing for, and, making others happy. He lived in many communities throughout the Country and eventually settled down in Central Nebraska.

Harvey is survived by his daughter- Karen Kay McHarry of Polk; 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; infant son- Harvey Wayne Jr.
