com. Gary was born on October 9, 1964 to Ralph and Lillian (Larson) Bannister in Central City. He attended school in Aurora, graduating from Aurora High School in 1983. Following his graduation, Gary remained on the family farm near Hordville until September of 2020 when he moved to Central City. Gary always enjoyed being outdoors, especially helping on the family farm. When he wasn’t helping on the farm or watching westerns, he was rooting on the Huskers and the local high school sports teams. He was also involved with the Special Olympics, and a member of Mamre Evangelical Free Church. His greatest love was getting to spend time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents; Ralph and Lillian Bannister of Central City, Dale (Tonya) Bannister of Marquette, Susan (Mark) Fitzgerald of Marquette, and Amy Bannister of Stromsburg, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister; Lorrie Bannister, sisterin- law; Karen Bannister, niece Danielle Bannister, and grandparents; Floyd and Margaret Larson and Walter and Grace Bannister.
